I think I mentioned this before, but just in case I haven't: I have an obsession with Native Art.
Growing up in BC I was exposed to it a bit growing up but ever since I moved to Winnipeg and went to the WAG I've become obsessed! My favorite styles that I've found so far are mostly Inuit and West Coast ("Land of the Totem Poles"). I recently got my hands on a book that goes in depth into the style of Haida art; it also takes apart the structures and explains the different parts. But of course, now that I have that I want to know more about the Mythology. I need to buy a book that's more in-depth in regards to the myths, but in the mean time I'll make due with what I have. Raven is simply awesome XD. So I wanted to draw him...or something inspired by him...Anyways, yeah, raven is cool X3;; This was done fairly quickly and I want to draw more raven-inspired stuffs when I have time. |
